Easy and Quick Taco Salad

Ingredients
1 ld ground turkey1 cup shredded taco cheese1 can kidney beans1 bag of prepared salad1 cup french dressing1 cup water1 packet of Ortega taco spice
Directions
1) brown the turkey in a skillet pan, then set aside to cool.
2.) in a small skillet, combine ortega spice and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes or until it forms a syrup.
3) In a large bowl combine salad mix, kidney beans, cheese, turkey, and whatever other veggies you want to add.
4) Combine the spice sauce with 1 cup of french dressing, mix well.
5) pour the dressing over the salad and toss.
6) You can crumble the tortilla chips and put them over the salad or just serve on the side.

    Too heavy in cals for me. Maybe 2% cheese and light dressing may lower cals? - 3/26/07
