Rhubarb Strawberry Sauce

Ingredients
2 cups chopped rhubarb1 cup orange juice1/4 cup agave nectar or sweetener of your choice2 juniper berries1 whole star anise1 cinnamon stick1 clove2 cups hulled strawberries¼ cup Grand Marnier or dash of orange extract
Directions
Combine first 7 ingredients in saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Add strawberries and orange extract or liqueur and remove from heat. Let sit a few minutes. Remove spices.

Makes approx 4 cups. Serving size = 1/4 cup.

Serving suggestions:
Serve chilled or warm over corn bread. Combine with granola, add to yogurt, serve in a crepe.
