Ingredients
1/4 cup raisins5 apples 1 lemondash cinnamon (optional)
Directions
Soak raisins in enough water to cover the raisins for about 20 minutes. I generally keep raisins and dates in a jar soaking in the refrigerator to have on hand so didn't count this in the prep time.

Put all ingredients in blender or food processor. Super blender like a vitamix works great but use what appliance is have on hand.

Process until smooth or leave chunky if preferred.

Makes approx 4 cups each serving is one half cup.

Do you put the lemon whole in the food processor or just using the juice of 1 lemon? - 10/21/10

I used tart apples so I added a small amount of raw agave (Trader Joes). I live eating apples this way. I also leave the peel on the apple. - 8/19/10

This is very easy to make and tastes really fresh. It worked perfectly with some apples I had that were a little too tart to eat on their own. I will definitely make this one again. - 10/26/09
