Rotini with Vegetables

Ingredients
*1 1/2 cups Barilla Plus Rotini (measure before cooking) *2 cups Baby Carrots *2 cups Broccoli florets *5 small Red Potatoes cut into small wedges *2 Tbsp Olive Oil *1 tsp dried Dill weed *2 Tbsp dried Parsley *1 tsp Salt *1tsp Pepper
Directions
Cook the pasta as directed
Meanwhile, steam the vegetables - add the carrots to the steam basket over steaming water, steam for 5 minutes. Add the potato wedges and steam for an additional 5 minutes. Add the Brocolli and steam for 5 more minutes.
Toss the steamed veggies with the pasta and the remaining ingredients.

    I made this, but I added one clove garlic smooshed with the salt to a paste. After steaming the potatoes and carrots for half the suggested time I coated them with half of the oil, garlic, dill and put them in the oven at 400 for 10 minutes to concentrate the flavors. Served room temp. Fabulous - 7/12/09

    I like the idea of roasting the veggies - I will have to try that next time. I've added some Italian herb seasoning (McCormicks grinder) to this the last couple of times, gives a more savory flavor.
