Whole Wheat Banana Nut Muffins with Splenda

Ingredients
1 cup white flour1 cup whole wheat flour1/4 teaspoon salt2 teaspoons baking powder1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened2 large eggs2 tablespoons sugar or splenda3/4 cup of chpped nuts (pecans, walnuts)
Directions
sift the flours, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. In another large bowl, cream the softened butter and then add the splenda and mix/beat again, Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the bananas and applesauce. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and mix well. Fold in the nuts. Put in lightly sprayed mini muffin tins by level tablespoons and bake at 325 degrees for about 35 minutes or until a knife in the middle comes out clean.
