HAMBURGER NOODLE CASSEROLD

5 cups uncooked egg noodles1 lb lean ground beef1/2 lb ground turkey2 cloves garlic, minced3 cans (8oz) tomato saucei jar spaghetti sauce1/2 tsp sugar1/2 tsp salt1/8 tsp pepper1 pkg (8 oz) reduced-rat cream cheese1 cup ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)1 cup reduced fat sour cream3 green onions, thinly sliced, divided2/3 cup shredded low fat cheddar cheese (or more to your liking)
Cook noodles according to directions. Drain well. Meanwhile, cook the ground meats and garlic over med heat until meat is no longer pink; drain well. Stir in the tomato sauce, spices and half jar of spaghetti sauce. Heat through. Stir drained noodles into beef mixture.
In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese with the ricotta and sour cream until blended. Stir in 1/2 the onions.
Spoon half the noodle mixture into a 13 x 9 dish coated with cooking spray. Top with cheese mixture and layer noodles on top. Add about 1/4th jar of spaghetti sauce.
Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with shredded cheese, and add more of the jarred spaghetti sauce, if needed. Return to over and bake 5 - 10 min. longer or until heated through and cheese is melted. Sprinkle with remaining onions.
Serve with crusty bread and salad if you wish!
