Ingredients
1/2 cup wheat bran5 cups flour1 1/2 T sugar2 T baking powder1 1/2 tsp. salt1 cup Crisco shortening3/4 cup nonfat dry milk2 3/4 cups water
Directions
Preheat oven to 400.
In large bowl combine wheat bran, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir together. Add shortening and cut it into the flour mixture with pastry blender until all lumps are small. Gradually add water while mixing with a fork until all flour is moistened. Place dough on floured surface and roll out. Cut with biscuit cutter. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
