Anna's Bean Soup

2 cup dry navy beans1 raw white onion, chopped1 cup chopped celery1 cup chopped carrots1 gallon water1 tsp salt1 cup diced ham
Put dry beans in cold water in pan. Start fire.
Chop all the veggies. Add the ham to the beans. Add the veggies as you chop them up.
Wait for it to boil, simmer. At the very last, when it's almost cooked, add salt!
Makes roughly 12 one-cup servings. Great to put in the freezer and reheat for a warm soup meal later!
