L.R. Italian fresh tomato sauce

Ingredients
1,367g (5-1/3 cups) diced fresh tomatoes6g. (1 huge clove) minced garlic27g (2/3 cup) finely chopped fresh basil1 tsp. salt or to taste1/4 tsp. pepper or to taste1-1/4 tsp. oregano1/2 T. good extra virgin olive oil
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Let set at room temperature for at least 1 hour before serving. Absolutely do not refrigerate unless you want to ruin the flavor.Makes about 5-1/3 cups. I figured 1 cup as a serving.
