Claire's 50 min. Rolls

1 package of dry yeast3/4 cup warm water2 TBSP sugar2 TBSP canola oil3/4 tsp salt1 egg1 cup flour
Put dry yeast, sugar, salt, flour in large bowl. In large measuring cup mix egg, water and oil. Add to dry ingredients. Stir until mixed. Cover with clean cloth. Let rise 15 minutes over warm water. (I warm my oven to 150-200 degrees - turn off and put a pan of water on a shelf under the bowl)
Add 1 1/2 cups of flour gradually, Stir with spoon until can't any longer. Turn out unto floured table, add rest of flour and knead for 3 minutes. Make rolls as desired - 16 rolls in 8x8 square pan.
Let rise 25 minutes in warm oven. Take rolls out. Heat oven to 425 degrees. Bake 10 minutes. For soft crust put favorite butter, margarine or oil on hot rolls after baking. This recipe doubles well.
