Coarse chop onions, dice green pepper. Add all ingredients, except tomato paste. Stir to mix up. Slow Cooker on low for 6 to 7 hours. When done, take off some of the liquid and stir with the tomato paste until well mixed. Before adding it to the slow cooker, taste the chili. Now is a good time to adjust the spices by adding them to the tomato paste mixture, then add it to the pot. Mix, cook for a little longer while you are getting ready to eat. If you like a thinner sauce, add a cup of water.
