Ingredients
* 1/2 onion, chopped * 1 (16 ounce) can chili beans * 1 (15 ounce) can black beans * 1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained * 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce * 1 1/2 c chicken broth * 1 (15 ounce) cans diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained * 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning * 3 whole skinless, boneless chicken breasts * shredded Cheddar cheese (optional) * sour cream (optional) * crushed tortilla chips (optional)
Directions
1. Place the onion, chili beans, black beans, corn, tomato sauce, chicken broth, and diced tomatoes in a slow cooker. Add taco seasoning, and stir to blend. Lay chicken breasts on top of the mixture, pressing down slightly until just covered by the other ingredients. Set slow cooker for low heat, cover, and cook for 5 hours.
2. Remove chicken breasts from the soup, and allow to cool long enough to be handled. Stir the shredded chicken back into the soup, and continue cooking for 2 hours. Serve topped with shredded Cheddar cheese, a dollop of sour cream, and crushed tortilla chips, if desired.

Yes it's good but how big is a serving? - 12/14/09

To reduce sodium use Target"s Archer Farms brand, agreat taco seasoning mix that is significantly lower in sodium than the major brands. - 6/24/11

It looks great except for the high sodium. I will substitute chili powder, cumin and coriander for the taco seasoning to cut down on the sodium. - 9/13/10

This was great. My family loved it and my son suggested that we make a double batch, drain it and use as burrito filling. We'll try that idea too! Great and easy find. - 2/4/10

This was wonderful and easy to make! I only had 2 chicken breasts but we didn't miss the 3rd breast. I also had to use frozen corn which turned out great. This recipe is going into my favorite pile! - 6/5/19

Nutrition is off. Breakdown claims 11 calories per serving for the chicken. There's more than 88 calories in 3 whole skinless, boneless chicken breasts! - 2/5/17

Excellent! My boyfriend loved it and it was great on a cold night. Instead of taco seasoning I used chili powder and cumin. I also added bell peppers, mushrooms and celery. - 1/8/15

This is great. I added Taco sauce & Frank's Red Hot since we did not have the taco seasoning. Definitely 5+ stars - 1/18/14

Was very good, very filling, but did find it a little bland. I will be adding some sort of extra spice next time, maybe chopped jalepenos for some kick. Did not put tortillas on this time, will definitely do it next time for some crunch. - 1/14/14
