I adapted to make this in the crock pot overnight. I used 5 cups of water ( due to long cooking time overnight) and used pecans instead of walnuts and found it to be very good, thanks for a great recipe, this made about 3/4 of a 4qt crockpot full. - 10/29/12

@rescueme123: Bring 3 cups water to a boil. Add 1/4 tsp salt and 1 cup oats. Reduce heat to a low simmer. Cover and cook 10-20 minutes (al dente to creamy). Stir every few minutes. Remove from heat and let sit 2 minutes. (Makes 4 servings) - 5/13/10

Scrumptious! This keeps me full for a long time and tastes great. Makes a great breakfast or could be a healthy dessert as well! This is a keeper! - 3/11/10

I used this recipe using Quaker Oat Old Fashioned oatmeal. It was very good, but I think that 1 tsp of cinnamon was a little much for this much oatmeal. I think I will use 1/2 tsp. next time I make it. Still, this is the best oatmeal I have tasted in a while. - 3/14/11

I wish this included the cooking instructions as I emptied the bag into storage containers and can't find the cooking instructions. :( - 3/19/10
