Simple enough to do this instead of nuking an instant oatmeal - and you can control the additives this way. Yum - 10/2/09

I made something very similar--slice VERY RIPE banana into the bowl, add 3/4 cup oatmeal, 3/4 cup milk and cinnamon--microwave for 3 minutes-stirring mid way. Serve with a little more milk if wanted. WOW! - 1/19/12

I make a version of this with about a tablespoon of honey for some added sweetness, and only use about a half cup of rolled oats and 1 cup of water. Glad to find the recipe on here! Good stuff! - 1/17/12

The simplest ideas are the most delicious. I substitute the walnuts with a little peanut butter and sometimes add some jam or fruit preservatives too for an extra sweetness. Yummy! - 3/13/11
