Chilli Con Carne

Ingredients
450gms minced beef1 medium onion, diced1 spray of olive oil (enough to coat the pan)1 tsp garlic powder310gms can kidney beans310gms can tomatoes in juicechilli flakes (depends on your taste)2 tbsps Thai chilli sauce2 tbsps Worcestershire sauce2 beef stock cubes (or 2 tsps beef stock)1 tsp thyme (dry)salt & pepper to taste
Directions
1. Spray pan with olive oil. Cook diced onion until soft. Add the minced beef. Cook until brown. Drain off any excess oil.

2. Stir in the garlic powder, the canned tomatoes, chili flakes, chilli sauce, worcestershire sauce. Cook for around 5 minutes or so.

3. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook for another 20-30 minutes. Stir every so often.

4. Serve with rice.

    Thank you finally found a normal tasty chilli con carne. I left the Thai chilli sauce as I did not have it used a sweet chilli sauce instead and cut out the beef stock cubes because of the sodium but was fantastic. - 8/7/08
