Carmelized Onions and Green Beans

1 onion sliced2 tablespoons olive oil1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar2 tsp sugar1 pound green beans blanched
Heat oil in a saute pan over medium heat. Add onions and cook for about 15 minutes until carmelized. Add vinegar and sugar and cook for another couple of minutes. Blanch green beans for about 6 minutes in a pot of salted water. Drain green beans and add to onions - toss together and serve. Makes approx. 8 servings
