Red Wine Cream Sauce with Morels

Ingredients
2 tsp. butter1 shallot, minced1/2 C dried morel mushrooms1/2 C shiraz wine1 T fresh thyme, chopped1/2 C mushroom water1/2 C, plus 1 tsp. water1/2 C beef broth1 tsp. cornstarch1/4 C heavy cream
Directions
Soak the dried mushrooms in 1 C of warm water for 15-30 minutes. Slice the mushrooms into thin strips.
Heat the butter over medium-low heat. Add the shallots and saute for 1 minute. Add the mushrooms and saute for 3-4 minutes. Add the wine and reduce by half. Add the thyme, water, and broth and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, combine 1 tsp. cornstarch with 1 tsp. water and set aside. Add the cream and cornstarch mixture. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
