classic pesto

Ingredients
1/2 c pine nuts, 4 c lightly packed fresh basil leaves (2 oz), 1/2 c finely grated parmesan cheese, 1 garlic clove, 1/3 c extra virgin olive oil, salt & pepper
Directions
preheat oven to 350. spread nuts on a rimmed baking sheet. toast in oven until golden brown & fragrant, approx. 8-10 minutes. remove from baking sheet to prevent further browning. let cool completely. in food processor, combine nuts, basil, cheese, & garlic. season with salt & pepper. process until finely chopped. stream in oil. process until smooth.
