I used a bag of mixed soup vegetables and added a can of kidney beans (rinsed) - very good. - 12/5/13

This was excellent! I replaced the frozen peas with a can of Sauerkraut, which gave the soup more of a thickness instead of being watery! I used corn on the cob corn (scraped it off) and it was great! - 5/20/12

I made this today with Thanksgiving turkey leftovers. Very tasty! I also added some fire-roasted chopped tomatoes for extra taste. - 11/28/11

Am making this now but also added the turkey carcas for more flavor. The house smells wonderful and the soup tastes great. (yes, I taste tested as it is cooking)

Made it again this year and also added the bones (not much meat on the carcass once my brother's done with it). This year's left over veggie was succotash, so I just threw that in instead of the peas and corn.
