Beans with ham

Ingredients
1 Bag dried pinto beans1 Farmer John Original Smoked Ham steak 97% Fat Free, cubed2 tbsp olive oil1 cup diced onion1 cup diced carrot1 cup diced celery6 1/2 cups water1 tbsp beef better than bouillon1 tbsp chicken better than bouillon1tbsp garlic powder1 tbsp onion powder1 tbsp thyme1 tbsp cumin2 bay leaves
Directions
Soak beans over night according to package.

Over medium heat saute onion, carrot and celery till tender about 10 minutes. Add ham and increase heat to med-high, saute for 2-3 minutes or till browned. Add water, bouillon, spices, and beans, bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours till tender.
