All purpose flour 2 cupsBaking powder 4 tspGranulated sugar 2 tbspSalt 3/4 tspGrated cheddar cheese 1 cupApplesauce (sweetened or non) 1/3 cupMilk 3/4 cup
Measure first 4 ingredients in to a bowl. Add grated cheese. Stir
Add applesauce and milk. Stir to form a soft ball of dough. Add more milk if needed to make dough soft.Turn out on lightly floured board and knead gently 8 to 10 times. Roll or pat 3/4 to 1 inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet close together for moist sides or 1 inch apart for crisp sides. Bake in 425F oven for 12-15 mins. until nicely browned. Makes 1 dozen.
