Pork chops with onions and applesauce

4- 4oz pork chops1 cup sliced sweet onions2 T olive oil2 cups unsweetened applesauce4 T balsamic vinegarpepper to taste
Slice enough sweet onions to make a cup of onion slices
add olive oil to covered fry pan and heat.
Add pork chops and brown on each side. Add onions and heat until translucent.
Turn pan heat to simmer and add applesauce and balsamic vinegar to pan. Cover and simmer for 50 minutes.
Pork will be fork tender.
Serves four. One chop, plus applesauce and onions.
Serve with your favorite vegetables and grains or potatoes as side dish.
