Ingredients
Directions
--2 T Olive Oil--1 C chopped onions--12 slices Turkey Bacon--2 C frozen sweet peas, thawed--1/2 C pasta water--1/4 hand grated Parmesan (tastes MUCH better than canned)--Black pepper to taste
Saute onions in oil on medium heat until they are soft and golden. Add bacon (because this is Turkey bacon, you'll be glad you have the olive oil -- the sauce needs it to taste like a sauce, so don't skimp) and cook through. Add peas and cook through. Add the 1/2 cup of pasta water, raising heat in order to cook it down quickly. Remove from heat and fold in cheese. Pour onto and mix into pasta (this is great with "butterfly" pasta or spaghetti). Add pepper to taste -- since the pasta water had some salt in it and there is parmesan cheese in the dish, you probably won't need any added salt.
