This was so good, even though it's very simple. Instead of covering everything with water, I just added 1 cup of beef broth because I wanted it to be like a stew. It turned out perfectly, and the whole family loved it. - 6/7/08

I threw in some all natural vegetable broth instead of plain water. This was a wonderful, quick and simple meal. My family absolutely loved it! We will use it again and again on those busy nights when I plan to use my slow cooker. - 8/5/10

I love this dish, but need to point out that the sodium content is way off. 2 oz of turkey smoked sausage has over 500 mg of sodium and a serving of this recipe calls for closer to 4 oz of the turkey. It's delicious, but really high in sodium for those on sodium restricted diets like my husband. - 3/15/10
