Red Wine Beef Stew (Gluten Free)

2 lbs Beef (tips, sirloin, etc) cut into 1" squares2 onions cut into eights3 carrots cut into 1" sections2 cups sliced mushrooms4 potatoes sliced1 cup red wine1 3/4 cup favorite gluten free tomato sauce1 tsp salt1 tsp pepper1 tbsp corn starch (or arrowroot)1 1/2 cups warm waterpinch red peper
Pre heat oven to 265.
Add meat to bottom of a large stock pot.
Add the carrots, mushrooms, onions and potatoes
Pour the tomato sauce over the top
Add minced garlic.
Add the salt and pepper.
In a separate dish, combine the warm water and corn starch, stir until the corn starch dissolves. Pour the cornstarch solution into the stock pot.
Add the wine over the entire mixture.
Stir once to spread the liquids, but leave the layering in tact.
Place stock pot in oven at 265 for 4-5 hours or in a 300 oven for 3 1/2 - 4 hours.
