Crock Pot Braised Short Ribs

Ingredients
4lbs Beef Short Ribs (without bone)1 large Onion3 cups white mushrooms3 large carrots (chopped)2 cups No Salt Added Diced Tomatoes2 large cloves of garlic sliced or chopped1 sprig of thyme & rosemary½ cup Marsala wine½ cup of olive oil1 ½ cup of fat-free beef broth
Directions
Wash spare ribs pat dry

Salt and pepper all sides

In a deep non-stick skillet brown all sides of spare ribs

Drain on paper towel to remove excess oil

Drain oil out of pan leaving bits

Take sliced onions, mushrooms, garlic and caramelize in the pan

After the veggies are caramelized add Marsala Wine and deglaze the pan

Set your Crock Pot to high

Add in carrots, drained tomatoes, thyme and rosemary

And the all the items from step one

Add 1 ½ cups of fat-free broth

Cook for 4 hours on high until the spare ribs are fork tender
