Ingredients
2 cups of dry tvp crumbles1/4 cup of Italian bread crumbs1 lg egg2 tbsp of whole wheat flour2 cups of water 2 teaspoons of vegetarian NO CHICKEN boullioun base
Directions
Bring water to a boil with the bouilloun base. Add dry tvp and stir. Let boil for about a minute or so then remove from heat and allow TVP to soak up remaining broth.

Once the TVP has soaked up the water add it to a bowl with the breadcrumbs, whole wheat flour, and egg. Mix together and shape into patties. This makes large patties once they are pressed down.

Place in a non stick skillet or use Pam cooking spray. Allow the patty to brown before flipping. Once flipped press down again, and brown. Serve with a baked potatoe and some country gravy. Yum

This was very good. It had excellent flavor. The patties held together really well for me. I could see using these as a chicken patty alternative. Thanks for the awesome recipe! :) - 7/31/11

Great recipe for TVP. It was a bit hard to flip the patties over, but they came back together once I flipped them and smooshed them again with the spatula. I added thyme and ground pepper. These were tasty and I will make them again. The recipe makes a lot, I halfed it & it still made 3 big patties - 10/3/10
