Ingredients
3 cups fresh or frozen cherries (raspberries, blackberries, blueberries are fine too)2 T. butter or substitute1/4 cup white flour1/2 cup plain oatmeal2 T. brown sugar1 T. ground cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Pit cherries (if fresh) - wash and clean berries. Drain off any liquid. Put in bottom of a 8" cake pan.

Mix butter, flour, oatmeal, brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Use either a fork or pastry blender to distribute butter evenly through mixture -- this doesn't have to be perfect --- just avoid big chunks of butter in the mixture! Spoon evenly over the berries.

Bake for 30 minutes and serve hot! Makes 6 servings of gooey goodness!

P.S. I use the full T of cinnamon- it is a lot of spice, but the oatmeal and flour eats us the flavor- it makes it perfect... - 7/27/12

I'm assuming this actually needs a teaspoon of cinnamon, not a tablespoon? That would be a lot... - 1/23/11

I actually was reading the recipe on my computer and going back to the kitchen, and ended up forgetting the flour, but it still is very satisfying! - 12/27/09

I tried this recipe for a cookout last week and everyone raved about it! I did substitute whole wheat flour for white flour, but no one noticed the difference. What a delicious treat! - 7/24/09
