Mexican (cottage) cheese dip

Ingredients
1 cup fat free small curd cottage cheese, drained of extra liquid.1/2 cup fat free sour cream1 ounce reduced fat shredded monterey jack or other white mild cheese1 diced jalapeno, ribs and seeds excluded3 chopped scallions1 teaspoon dry onion soup mix1 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Refrigerate overnight to let the flavors blend. Serve with baked tortilla chips, or with veggies.

If the only available cottage cheese is large curd, I put this all into a food processor and blend until smooth.
