Pinto-White Bean Chili with Green Peppers

1 cup Pinto Beans (Dry)1 cup White Beans (Dry)1 can Natural Stewed Tomatoes1 Medium Onion, Chopped1 Garlic Clove1/2 cup Chopped Green Pepper1 t Chili Powder1 t Crushed Red Pepper1 t Dry BasilA dash Sea Salt3 cups Hot Water
Soak beans overnight in stock pot.
Boil them for 2 minutes, let soak for about 30-60 minutes, rinse and add to crockpot. Add water.
Mince garlic, chop onion and green pepper, add to pot along with Spices and Stewed Tomatoes.
Cook on High for 4 hours.
OR
Cook on Medium for 6-8 hours.
** To make beans softer: after boiling and rinsing, you can add water back to the stock pot and simmer for another 20-30 minutes before adding to crockpot.
