Spenser's Sloppy Joes

Ingredients
1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil1 Red pepper, chopped 1 Green pepper, chopped1 C. Onion, chopped2 Garlic cloves, chopped2 lb 93% Lean Ground Beef8 oz can of Tomato Sauce1 14.5 oz can Diced Tomatoes1 C. BBQ sauce1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce1 tsp Hot Sauce2 Tbsp Tomato paste
Directions
Heat oil in large skillet. Add peppers, garlic and onion. Saute until tender, about 3 min. Season with salt & pepper.

Add the ground beef to the peppers. Cook until the meat is done. Drain.

Add remaining ingredients. Simmer about 10 minutes.
Makes 9 1-C. servings.

    These were wonderful!!! I halved the recipe and it made more than enough. I also omitted the worchestershire sauce and used rotel diced tomatoes instead. It does not effect the nutritional value very much. Thanks! - 6/29/10
