Spicy Italian Turkey Meatballs

Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey2 large eggs1 cup Italian bread crumbs1/4 cup grated Parmesian cheese3 cloves crushed garlic (optional|)1 tbsp ground oregano1 tbsp caraway seeds1 tbsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400ºF
Mix all ingedients in a large bowl
Form golf ball sized meatballs
Place Meatballs on an ungreased cookie sheet
Bake for 10 minutes
Flip the meatballs
Bake for an additional 10 minutes
Let cool 5 minutes before serving.

Hint: If serving with pasta, start heating the water before placing the meatballs in the oven.

    They were pretty good, but they weren't my favorite (it may have just been that I'm not really used to ground turkey. I feel like it has an aftertaste). I'd really love to try this recipe with lean ground beef next time. - 5/7/11

    We made this with a soy based meatless sausage & burger roll. We only made 1/2 batch - not sure if we would like it. It is a great way to reduce the calories without sacrificing taste or texture! - 12/15/07
