Pasta, Anchovies and Cauliflower

Ingredients
1 package small shell pasta, preferable whole wheat1 can anchovies1 head cauliflower2 tablespoons olive oil2 cloves garlic choppedCrushed red pepper to tastetbsp oregano1 cup vegetable or chicken broth
Directions
Cook Cauliflower until just tender, cook pasta according to package directions.

In a very large pan heat olive oil, add anchovies, garlic and spices until garlic is just tender. Add cauliflower and cook a few minutes. Add pasta and toss together. Take off flame and add 1/2 cup parmesan cheese.

    Used to make my Nona's more fattening recipe, now I'll use this one. Used anchovy paste, threw in some mushrooms and olives & didn't use broth as I just added 1/2C of the starchy noodle cooking water. Save time: cook caul. & noodles together. Will add more garlic and red pepper flakes next time. - 6/18/08
