Italian Round Steak with Mushrooms

Ingredients
Beef, round steak, 2 lbDelMonte Organic Tomato Sauce, 1 cupLipton Onion Mushroom Soup & Dip Mix (Dry Mix), 2 tbspCanola Oil, 2 tbspPompeian Red Wine Vinegar, 2 tbspOregano, ground, 1 tspGarlic powder, .5 tspPepper, black, .25 tspCornstarch, .0625 cupMushrooms, fresh, 226.7 gramsWater 1tbsp
Directions
Cut steak into serving-size pieces (4oz aprx) and place in crock pot. Mix next 7 ingredients in small bowl. Prep mushrooms and halve smaller and quarter larger mushrooms and put on top of steak. Pour sauce over mushrooms and steak. Cook on low for 7-7 1/2 hours.

About 15 minutes before you are ready to eat turn crock pot to high. Mix water and cornstarch together and add to crock pot and mix in. Cover and finish fixing the rest of your dinner. By the time you are ready to eat the sauce should be thick. You can also take the meat out and thicken it in a pan on the stove if you prefer.

    This dish was pretty good. I had some trouble with it burning to the bottom of the crock pot. I think I will add some more liquid the next time! - 8/4/08

    I loved it! Since I didn't have mushrooms or tomato sauce on hand I used canned diced tomatoes and jarred mushrooms. My family loved it, too! I also separated my portion and skipped the corn starch for my plate. - 2/12/08
