Instead of chocolate chips (high fat, high sugar), use Hershey's chocolate syrup instead. The amount would need to be adjusted to personal taste, but it saves a LOT of calories!! - 8/12/09

I agree with the thinking of adding the nuts. This worked very well. I will put this in my Yummies cook book - 4/28/09

Unbelievably good! My husband LOVES chocolate chip cookies but it's hard to find a recipe that's not loaded with fat and calories. The cookies were a pretty decent size too. Thanks for posting...we will definitely be making them again! - 5/6/08

Such a great recipe that will help my cookie addiction when I need a fix. The family loved them too. Thanks! - 7/19/08

I made these this afternoon, and I think they are delicious! My picky kids even enjoyed them! I used more whole wheat flour and less all-purpose flour and only cooked them for 8 minutes. I flattened them with a spoon while they were still warm too. - 2/3/08

I like the recipe. I'll add lots of nuts because they slow down my eating and are even more satisfying. Thanks. - 1/9/09

I was hoping this was a modified recipe for weight loss, I need fat free, sugar free, low sodium and low cholesterol.. I could sub egg beaters, skip the salt, no chocolate chips and splenda.. then it would be a sugar free sugar cookie! - 8/12/09

This was good and based on the nutrition there is little difference between this and the reg tollhouse cookies. Actually, this has more carbs but does have less fat and only a bit less sodium. Calories are the same. Overall a good recipe but not sure Iwould label it "healthy" - 8/12/09

I wouldn't consider this "healthy." I don't mean to be negative, but people have a tendency to consider "healthy" things something you can overdo to a great extent. Just be careful when eating these!!! A good calorie count for a "healthy" cookie (IMO) would be 50, so you can at least have 3! - 8/12/09

Can't wait to try them. I will probably use eggbeaters in place of the egg though. - 8/12/09
