The best red sauce

Ingredients
8 Cups chopped, raw, roma tomatoes4 Cups chopped, raw, onion4 Cups chopped, raw, red bell pepper8 Cups tomato sauce, canned4 gloves garlic, fresh4 Tablespoons dried basil
Directions
Chop all the vegetables and combine in a large skillet. Simmer about 1 hour. Add basil and simmer 30 minutes longer. Let cool. Blend all ingredients until smooth.
Makes 9 - 12 cups sauce. 1/2 cup = 1 serving
