Ingredients
3/4 c. milk, 3/4 c. bran cereal, 1 egg, 1/4 c. vegetable oil, 1/4 c. molasses or honey, 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 1 c. Quaker oats, 2/3 c. whole wheat flour, 1 t. baking powder, 1/4 t. saltOptional: Add 1/2 raisins, fruit, or nuts
Directions
Mix milk, bran, eggs, oil, honey and sugar. Separately mix other ingredients and then stir in. Cook 15 minutes at 400. Makes 12 servings

    The recipe calls for 1/2 c raisins, fruit or nuts. OBVIOUSLY cherries were the fruit they used. - 5/10/11

    How is this a cherry bran muffin recipe when it doesn't call for cherries? I suppose you could sub in dried cherries for raisins but don't call it a cherry muffin recipe. Its a raisin bran muffin recipe! - 2/26/11
