A Polish dish that will surely please the tastebuds of all. It has a mild flavor, but you can add whatever spices to give it more "zip" if you like. Ingredients

    1 1/2 lbs ground beef
    14 cabbage leaves
    1 large can tomato sauce
    1 packet boil-in-bag rice
    1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
    1 C onion, chopped
    2 large eggs, beaten
    1/2 C ketchup

Directions

Core head of cabbage and place in large pot of water; boil for 20 - 25 minutes; drain and let cool whole. Brown ground beef in skillet. Add onion and garlic when beef is half way done; drain well. Cook rice according to package directions; let cool. In a large bowl, combine beef mixture, rice, ketchup and eggs; mix well. Place a little tomato sauce in the bottom of 9 x 13 inch casserole dish. Pull leaves from cabbage head, place 1 to 1 1/2 spoonful of meat mixture into each leaf; fold up and place seam side down in casserole dish; repeat until all leaves done. Coverwith tomato sauce. Bake at 350 F degrees for 1 hour. Makes 14 servings.
