Betty Crocker's Fettuccine Alla Carbonara

3-6 slices of bacon, cut into 1 in pieces6 0z of dried fettuccine1 beaten egg1 c. half and half, light cream, or milk2 tbs of butter or margarine1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese1/4 c snipped fresh parsleyPepper
1. Cook bacon till crisp. Drain on paper towels
2. Cook fettucine for 8-10 min, drain
3. In small sauce pan combine egg,half and half, and margarine. Cook and stir over medium heat till egg mixture just coats a metal spoon (about 6min). Immediately pour over noodles and toss.
4. Add bacon, cheese, parsley and pepper to taste toss. Serve Immediately. Makes 6 side servings.
