Pumpkin Muffins

Ingredients
2/3 cup unsweetened applesauce2 2/3 cups sugar4 eggs1 can (1 pound) pumpkin2/3 cup water3 1/3 cups whole wheat flour2 tsp. baking soda1 1/2 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. baking powder1 tbsp. cinnamon1 tbsp. cloves2 c dark chocolate chips
Directions
Heat oven to 375 degrees
In large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until fluffy
Stir in eggs, pumpkin and water
Blend in flour, soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and cloves
Stir in chocolate chips
Line muffin pans with tins and put 1/4 c batter in each tin
Bake about 18 minutes or according to your own oven's needs
