1 pound stew beef1 cup diced onions1 cup diced celery1 cup bell pepper1 pound baby carrots1 cup beef stock1 pint (16 ounces) ale or lager1 tsp thyme1 can tomato pastesalt and pepper to taste
Put all ingredients in a crockpot. Set on low and cook 6-8 hours. Serve with a hearty slice of grainy bread.
