Italian Beef Vegetable Soup

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef1/2 cup chopped onion5 garlic cloves, chopped6 cups beef broth, low sodium14 oz can diced tomatoes1 teaspoon dried thyme14 oz can italian green beans, drained14 oz can white beans, drainedparmesan cheese, grated
Directions
Crumble ground beef into soup pot and brown over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cook till soft. Add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer over low for 30 minutes. Ladle into soup bowls. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Makes 6 servings.
Cabbage is a great substitution for the green beans.
