1/4 cup brown rice1/4 cup lentils1 teaspoon gheesmall onion choppedcumin seeds (teaspoon-ish)whole greem chili - optional - not included in nutritional infofresh ginger - teaspoon-ish1 clove garlic - mincedground tumeric 1/2 teespoon-ish1 1/2 cup watergaram masala to tasteblack pepper - to tastesalt -to taste (not included in nutritional info)
Soak and clean the rice and lentils for 30 mins
Heat ghee in sauce pan until hot add cumin seeds until you can smell them. Then add chopped onion. Cook until onion is soft. Then add ginger, garlic and chili. Then add turmeric, drained rice, drained lentils and water. Simmer for 30 min or untill all is soft. Water will be absorbed/evaporate. IF rice and lentils aren't to taste, add more water 1/4 cup at a time as needed. Add garam masala and salt and peper to taste.
