Ingredients
Red potatoesHillshire Farm Smoked Sausage (Turkey, Beef, or Lite)Frozen green beansSalt and pepperDepending on how many people I'm cooking for, I just eyeball how much I put in of each.
Directions
Slice sausage into 1/2" thick pieces.
Brown on each side in skillet on medium heat (if using turkey or lite sausage, you may need to add a little olive oil to keep the sausage from sticking). Season with salt and pepper or other spices like Mrs. Dash.

While sausage is cooking, scrub and cut up the potatoes (red potatoes are really great), leaving the peel on, into 1" cubes. Add to sausage in pan, and pour some water (don't cover the potatoes completely) in. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender. Don't let them get too mushy.

Stir in frozen green beans, cover, and cook for about 5 more minutes or until the beans are heated through.

The great thing about this recipe is you can give it any flavor you want, like southwest spices, or cajun or onion.

So easy, so fast, and sooo good!

Very yummy. Although instead of using water, I used 2 cups of cooked tomatoes that we had frozen. Also added some carrots, corn kernels and some mint. - 2/25/12

I've been making this for years as well. My kiddos don't like frozen green beans, so I use the canned, juice and all. It's also great with cheesy smoked sausage. - 10/27/10
