This was a truly masterful recipe, and very easy to make! In order to reduce the sodium, we used fresh serrano & jalapeno peppers and tomatoes instead of canned tomatoes w/ chilis. There is a warm, subtle flavor to this recipe that must be tasted. Thank you so much for this phenomenal recipe! - 6/27/09

would you strain the beans & tomatoes before adding them to the meat, or leave the liquid in the recipe? - 12/1/09

After working on this recipe a lot more than before, I recommend not draining anything at all.

I've been looking for a good chili recipe for a while. This one is great! My parents and my boyfriend loved it. I even gave my mom the recipe since it is so simple to make. I highly recommend giving this chili a try! - 7/21/11

My family really enjoyed this recipe. I added 2 cans of drained corn kernels. It was yummy! Will definately make again. - 3/25/11

Instegad of using the tonatoes and green chiles (because I thought they would make it too spicy for the kids) I doubled the amount of tomato sauce. I also doubled the amount of chili powder and taco seasoning. Very good recipe! - 11/9/10

We made a half batch of this and enjoyed the flavour. We didn't have Great Northern beans in our grocery store so got a different kind of white bean. Next time we'll add more spice to give it more of a kick but that was a personal preference - 10/17/10

So delicious! The only things I did different was add garlic to the meat and seasoned it with Mrs. Dash original. Excellent! Thank you! - 4/6/10
