Ingredients
6 lbs of Apples any kind (I use Gravenstiens).33 cup sugar1 stick of butter (Blue Bonnet)Cinnamon to taste
Directions
Peel core and chop apples in to smallish pieces. Place in large pot with butter and slow cook. When the apples start to bubble slowly add sugar and cinnamon until you get the taste you want. Then slow cook until you get the texture you want. You might need to add a small amount of water to start the apples.

makes 18 - 1/2 cup servings.

Enjoy warm over lightly buttered bread for a simple apple pie taste.
Edited to add that this is WONDERFUL with splenda.

This sounds divine! I wonder if it could be made with Splenda and Butter Buds with the same results but fewer calories though? I'll have to give it a try :) - 9/10/07
