Aunt Jemima Quick Grits, 1 cup (remove)Egg - Large (1 egg), 6 serving (remove)*Bulk Pork Sausage, 16 oz (remove)Cheddar Cheese, 1 cup, shredded (remove)Water, tap, 4 cup (8 fl oz) salt and pepper to taste.grits require plenty of salt or they are nasty. hehehe...
scramble pork and drain. add to crock pot. add the boilng water to crock pot and stir in grits until smooth and no lumps. cook on high one hour. turn down to low and continue cooking for about 3 hours. check for grits tenderness. when almost tender add soft scrambled eggs and cheese to pot and stir to mix. cook until all is melted and grits are to desired tenderness. i like my grits real smooth and creamy.all crock pots cook at different rates. mine cooks fast and hot, so adjust accordingly.
