Uncle Tommy's Slow Cooker Chili

Ingredients
1 lb ground chicken 1 can tomato soup (10.75 oz)1 can diced tomatoes2 celery stalks, chopped1 large onion, chopped6 garlic cloves, minced1 can sliced mushrooms1 red or green pepper, diced1 can red kidney beans, drained (3 servings)6 tbsp chili powder (season to taste)salt (season to taste)pepper (optional)
Directions
Brown ground chicken in skillet and drain.
Add chicken and all other ingredients to the slow cooker. Cook on high for 6+ hours.

    This was good. Do NOT use 6 tbsp on Chili Powder...lol! I learned the hard way! But all in all, it was great! I prefer lean beef to chicken, just a texture thing for me, but a great recipe! :) PS. At first, it looks like there is not enough liquid. There is! Don't add more = soup! KUDOS! - 1/14/08

    Yum! I adapted this a bit by using a combination of white beans and black beans.....and added some green salsa.......but when I was done, it was the best chili I've ever made! Thanks. - 12/31/07
