Creamy Cashew Cheese

Ingredients
- 2 cups raw cashews- 3/4 cup water- 3 tsp lemon juice- 2 tsp garlic powder- 2 tsp salt (to taste)Optional ingredients: Nutritional yeast flakes, pimentos
Directions
Soak cashews at least 2 hours. Drain and add to blender/food processor. Add water, lemon juice, garlic powder and salt. Blend until smooth. Put in container and let sit out at room temperature overnight before putting in fridge.

    I used to make a recipe similar to this. So I used the same process: washed cashews very well, dumped in blender; heated 3/4 C to almost boiling (this ensure creaminess). Then used 1/4 C lemon juice and a couple Tbs sesame seeds. made 25 oz. YUMMMM! - 12/24/12
