Taco Style Lentils & Brown Rice

3/4 cup dry lentils3/4 cup uncooked brown rice4 cups beef (or vegetable) broth (I use 4 cups water + 2 beef bouillon cubes)1 Tbsp. chili powder1 tsp. cumin1 tsp. onion powder1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Combine all in a pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer (about med to med-low) and cook until all the water is absorbed (it took mine about 35 minutes). Serves 4.

Delicious and filling.
Been making a similar recipe for some time. This time I did it in the crockpot for Sunday lunch. I cooked it on high for 90 min. then turned it down to low before we left for church. It was ready when we got home 3 1/2 hrs. later. 6-8 hrs on low would work, too.
